- Assess knowledge and hands-on skills against approved criteria, document results, and provide additional instruction when learners need more practice.

- Coordinate with field leadership, QA/QC, safety, and Training Department staff to identify training needs and incorporate recurring installation issues and lessons learned.

- Maintain course materials, training equipment inventory, attendance, assessment results, and completion records in designated department systems.

- Perform other technical training and course-development duties as assigned within demonstrated qualifications.

- Assist with collecting feedback, updating training trackers, and preparing completion reports and department summaries.

- Perform other training support and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualification

- Hands-on low voltage installation experience that demonstrates readiness to teach structured cabling and related systems, including experience on data center or other mission critical projects.

- Experience training, mentoring, or leading installation personnel through technical demonstrations and hands-on practice.

- Working knowledge of fiber and copper cabling, pathways, racks, cable management, labeling, testing, and telecommunications bonding and grounding.

- Ability to read drawings, specifications, installation details, manufacturer instructions, and test reports and explain requirements in clear, practical terms.

- Ability to prepare organized lessons, deliver clear demonstrations, and assess knowledge and practical skills using established criteria.

- Proficiency with PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook for course development, communication, scheduling, and training records.

- Strong communication, patience, and classroom management skills, with the ability to adapt instruction to different experience levels.

- Commitment to safe work practices, installation quality, accurate documentation, and teaching only within demonstrated technical qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience delivering technical courses or leading field training for mission critical low voltage installation teams.

- Relevant BICSI, fiber optics, manufacturer, test-equipment, or instructor credentials related to assigned training subjects.

- Experience with learning management systems, SharePoint, training diagrams, adult-learning methods, and practical assessment development.

- Experience incorporating QA/QC findings, testing documentation, and turnover requirements into hands-on training.
