Respite Care Provider

This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

Energetic Caregiver / Respite Provider Needed Location : Chippewa Falls, WI Pay : $14.13 per hour Mileage Reimbursement : $0.70 per mile when the child is in your vehicle Hours : Approximately 4-8 hours per week Schedule : Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) Are you energetic, active, and looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in a child's life? A family is seeking a dependable caregiver to provide community-based support for their son during weekends. About the Individual This fun-loving and adventurous young man enjoys staying active and exploring his community. Some of his favorite activities include: • Riding his scooter • Swimming • Drawing and creative projects • Playing with cars • Building and hands-on activities • Visiting bounce houses and indoor play areas If he had a "yes day," he would choose trips to water parks, the YMCA, McDonald's play areas, mall play spaces, and scooter rides on local trails. What You'll Do • Support and supervise community outings and recreational activities • Encourage participation in fun, engaging experiences • Help build positive social and community connections • Provide a safe and supportive environment • Keep up with an active, energetic child while maintaining awareness of safety concerns What We're Looking For The ideal caregiver is: • Energetic and physically active • Reliable and attentive • Comfortable in community settings and public outings • Patient, positive, and encouraging • Able to provide close supervision at all times Important Safety Considerations This individual is very active and requires consistent supervision in the community. He is known to run unexpectedly and has difficulty recognizing safety risks. At times, he may isolate himself or engage in self-injurious behaviors. The caregiver must be vigilant, safety-focused, and able to respond quickly while helping him enjoy activities in a positive and supportive manner.
