Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Forecasting

- Coordinate the budgeting and forecasting process for assigned R&D and Center of Excellence cost centers.
- Collect financial inputs, assumptions and supporting information from entity and functional owners.
- Consolidate inputs and prepare entity-level budgets and forecasts.
- Review and challenge assumptions to ensure forecasts are realistic and supported by underlying business drivers.
- Maintain and update financial models and forecast files.
- Support annual budget, quarterly forecast and long-range planning activities.
- Highlight key risks, opportunities and changes in financial assumptions.

Financial Performance & Analysis

- Monitor actual financial performance against budget, forecast and prior year.
- Perform monthly variance analysis and identify key drivers of deviations.
- Analyse OPEX, headcount costs, project spending and other relevant expenses.
- Track spending trends and run rates and identify potential overspend or underspend.
- Follow up with entity owners on significant variances and ensure explanations are supported by appropriate business drivers.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities and escalate key issues to the FP&A team.

Business Partnering

- Serve as the day-to-day finance contact for assigned R&D and Center of Excellence entities.
- Build effective working relationships with entity owners and functional stakeholders.
- Support business owners in understanding their financial performance and outlook.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.
- Constructively challenge spending plans, assumptions and forecast submissions.
- Follow up on agreed actions and ensure financial information is updated in a timely manner.
- Reporting
- Prepare monthly financial reporting and management analysis for assigned entities.
- Consolidate financial information received from multiple stakeholders.
- Prepare variance analysis, financial summaries and management presentations.
- Maintain reporting templates, dashboards and financial trackers.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes.
- Support automation and standardization of financial reporting.
- Improve data quality, reporting efficiency and visibility of financial performance.
- Support implementation and enhancement of FP&A tools and systems.

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
- 4–7 years of relevant experience in FP&A, financial analysis, controlling or management reporting.
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Good understanding of P&L and operating expenses.
- Experience working with multiple entities, functions or cost centers is preferred.
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Experience working with ERP and financial reporting systems, as well as prior experience in Extracting data from ERPs.
- Experience with Power BI or other reporting/analytics tools is an advantage.
