Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industrial or metal painting, surface preparation, paint mixing, and spray application. Experience operating pressure pots and conventional spray equipment in a production environment is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

- Prepare, mix, and blend paints according to specifications for proper color, texture, viscosity, and consistency.
- Apply paint to metal surfaces using pressure pots, conventional spray guns, and other industrial painting equipment.
- Perform metal surface preparation, cleaning, and finishing to ensure proper paint adhesion and quality.
- Inspect painted surfaces for coverage, finish quality, and defects.
- Measure paint thickness and verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Safely handle, store, and maintain paints, chemicals, and painting supplies.
- Monitor paint and supply inventory and communicate replenishment needs.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of respirators and required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Assist team members and support daily production goals as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Required: Previous industrial painting or metal painting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience with spray painting equipment, pressure pots, conventional spray guns, and paint mixing is preferred.
- Ability to prepare metal surfaces and apply paint to achieve consistent, high-quality finishes.
- Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure.
- Ability to safely operate spray equipment and use respirators, PPE, and ladders.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and performing painting tasks from ladders or elevated positions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety, and production standards.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
