About this role
Implements and optimizes components within existing distributed systems under the guidance of senior engineers. Applies foundational scalability principles, conducts performance and load testing, and configures retries, circuit breakers, and timeouts to improve resilience to network variability. Delivers scoped features, develops fault-injection tests, and assists with data replication and synchronization.
Builds telemetry and alerts, maintains operational runbooks, and participates in on-call rotations with support. Uses automation and infrastructure-as-code scripts to troubleshoot issues. Follows established change management, security, and compliance procedures, including encryption, access controls, and remediation plans, and escalates complex issues appropriately.
