Driver Supervisor

Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan is looking for a motivated, team-building individual to fill a full-time Driver Supervisor p osition  at our Averill Plant  location in Flint.

Monday-Friday 5:30 am to 2:00 pm

Pay Differential:

$20.00/  hour when performing Supervisory duties 
$25.50 /hour when driving a GW box truck or semi 35% of week

Essential duties and responsibilities:

- Helps guide work to ensure that pickup and delivery schedules are met.
- Assumes dock area responsibilities in the absence of the Assistant Manager.
- Assists in training of dock employees
- Responsible for housekeeping of dock area, truck wells, and removal of trash.
- Monitors trash compactor.
- Drives a 53 ft semi or box truck when needed.  Average 35% - 40% of the week
- Monitors metal salvage loads.
- Adheres to all policies and procedures, maintains a good attendance record.

Think you've got what it takes?

- High school diploma/GED required
- Valid Michigan Commercial driver's license with the endorsements required to drive a 53ft semi and box truck.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a Clearinghouse License reference check. 
- Logistics experience is preferred; management experience is required
- Knowledge and experience with unions preferred
- Computer competencies, including MS Word and Excel, and a strong emphasis on safety are required.
- Show initiative, good judgment, and dependability
