Job Description
Where there’s a talent for turning data into value, there’s a way.
What if your ability to connect business challenges, data and people could turn ideas into measurable value? As an Analytics Translator, you bring business and Data & Analytics together. You help identify where data, analytics and AI can make the greatest difference, turn opportunities into clear priorities and make sure promising ideas develop into solutions that deliver real impact!
Your position
The B2C Data & Analytics department develops data-driven solutions for our customers and customer processes. We do this through machine learning models, strategic analyses, reporting and self-service data solutions.
We work across three business domain teams, where data experts and business experts collaborate closely to create valuable data solutions. These teams bring together Analytics Translators, Analytics Engineers and Data Scientists and work with Data & ML Engineers from IT.
As an Analytics Translator, you focus on the question behind the data. You identify and shape opportunities where data, analytics, machine learning and Generative AI can contribute to B2C goals. Together with business stakeholders and Data & Analytics colleagues, you translate strategic priorities and decision needs into a value-driven portfolio and roadmap.
You create focus by helping determine which initiatives should come first, based on their expected business value, strategic relevance, feasibility, dependencies and readiness. From the first opportunity through delivery and adoption, you keep sight of the outcome we want to achieve and the value we expect to create.
Your strength lies in connecting business needs with the possibilities of Data & Analytics, asking the right questions, challenging priorities and bringing the right people together to turn opportunities into measurable results.
As an Analytics Translator, you will:
- Identify and shape opportunities for analytics, machine learning, Generative AI and other AI-enabled solutions around business needs, user needs and decisions.
- Translate strategic priorities and business challenges into clearly defined initiatives and epics, working with Product Owners and delivery teams to turn them into executable work.
- Maintain and develop the Data & Analytics roadmap and support fact-based prioritisation based on expected business value, strategic fit, feasibility, dependencies, data and AI readiness, and available capacity.
- Develop business cases and solution proposals with clear value hypotheses and success measures, and follow initiatives through delivery, adoption and value measurement.
- Connect stakeholders across business domains and Data & Analytics, making dependencies around data availability, quality, governance, technology and shared capabilities visible.
- Recognise relevant privacy, security and responsible AI considerations early and involve the appropriate specialists so requirements and safeguards are reflected in initiative scope and delivery planning.
Qualifications
Your profile
You know that a good analytics solution starts with a good understanding of the business problem. You are comfortable moving between strategic conversations and concrete initiatives, and you know how to bring structure to complex questions without losing sight of the outcome.
You build strong working relationships across disciplines and can engage senior stakeholders, challenge assumptions and help people make choices when not everything can be a priority. At the same time, you understand data and AI well enough to recognize opportunities, ask informed questions, and collaborate effectively with technical specialists.
You bring:
- A Master’s degree in a relevant business, analytical or technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in data or digital product management, analytics consulting or business analysis, including discovery, prioritisation and adoption in an Agile environment.
- Strong business acumen and consulting skills, with the ability to structure complex questions and develop value-driven business cases.
- Strong stakeholder-management skills and the confidence to engage, advise and challenge senior stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of analytics, machine learning and Generative AI, sufficient to recognise opportunities and work effectively with Data Scientists, Analytics Engineers and other specialists.
- An understanding of data, privacy, security and responsible AI considerations and the ability to recognise when specialist expertise is required.
