About this role
Job Description
The Execution Planning Manager – SC Ops Strategy, Planning & Insights will own the weekly S&OE forum and the broader business rhythms that support it. This individual is accountable for the forum's agenda, decisions, and executive-level recap. This person owns scaled events readiness for high-volume moments like Anniversary Sale and Holiday, maintains the annual events calendar as a standing input to the network's risk cadence, and triages urgent ad-hoc requests from the business as they arise. Working from data and signals surfaced across the network, this person identifies downstream cross-functional impacts, drives named mitigation actions and holds owners accountable until risk is resolved. This role partners closely with SC Operations, Transportation, Volume Planning, Store Operations, Finance, and HR to build cross-functional alignment and drive decisions across the organization.
This role requires an individual who thinks in systems with the ability to trace how a single disruption (a labor gap, a volume spike, a carrier delay) ripples across inbound, DC/FC processing, and outbound to stores, and to prioritize accordingly. It requires executive-level communication and comfort driving decisions and alignment across functions that don't report to this person, often under incomplete information. The ideal candidate has experience applying structured frameworks (RACI, decision rights, escalation criteria) to bring discipline to a new and still-evolving process, along with the entrepreneurial spirit to grow that process from its early stages to maturity.
A day in the life…
- Own the weekly S&OE forum including agenda, owner assignments, and executive-level summary of key topics and decisions
- Maintain the annual events calendar as a standing input to the monthly and weekly risk cadence, flagging when an upcoming date warrants elevated scrutiny
- Triage fly-in issues (unplanned, urgent disruptions outside the normal cadence) and quickly mobilize the right stakeholders to respond
- Sense potential risks to network execution over the next 4–12 weeks, including downstream cross-functional impacts
- Drive creation of mitigation workstreams, both upstream and downstream, and hold named owners accountable for action
- Apply structured frameworks (RACI, decision rights, escalation criteria) to bring discipline and repeatability to a new process
- Escalate stalled mitigation actions and resolve cross-functional trade-offs at the senior director level
- Continuously evolve the forum's scope, rhythms, and governance as the process matures
You own this if you have…
- 7+ years of supply chain planning, operations, or program management experience, including leading through ambiguity in a new or evolving process
- Demonstrated executive-level communication skills with ability to distill complex, cross-functional risk into a clear recommendation for senior leaders
- Proven ability to drive decisions and alignment across functions that don't report to you
- Systems thinking and comfort mapping how a risk in one part of the network creates impact elsewhere, and prioritizing accordingly
- Experience applying structured frameworks to solve ambiguous problems
