About this role

Better begins here

Crown Resorts is a great place to visit and it’s an even better place to work, a place where you can play your part in creating fun, memorable, world-class experiences for our guests and our people. We value passion, optimism, and an appetite for change - for the better. Here, you’ll be part of the team, empowered to explore more, experience more and supported by your leader to grow and develop.

Crown Perth is seeking an experienced Operations Manager – Conferences & Events to lead a large and complex operation delivering an exciting and diverse calendar of events.

Operating within an integrated resort environment, this is a highly collaborative leadership role connecting event operations with sales, kitchens and key stakeholders across Crown. From major functions to bespoke client experiences, you’ll bring together exceptional people leadership, commercial thinking and operational excellence to deliver memorable events and sustainable business outcomes.

The opportunity

No two events are the same, with the team regularly navigating multiple events and competing priorities across Crown.

You’ll partner closely with sales, kitchens and other operational teams throughout the event journey, bringing operational expertise to proposals, tenders, tastings and client solutions. You’ll have the opportunity to think beyond traditional banqueting, challenge the status quo and find new ways to deliver distinctive experiences for our clients.

Commercial acumen will underpin your decision-making, balancing client objectives and exceptional service with profitability, labour efficiency and sustainable revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

- Lead the operational delivery of conferences, banquets and events, ensuring exceptional service and execution.
- Partner with sales, kitchens and key stakeholders to develop bespoke, commercially sustainable event solutions.
- Contribute operational expertise to client proposals, tenders, tastings and event planning, helping turn opportunities into successful experiences.
- Lead and develop a large and complex team, building leadership capability, developing talent and strengthening succession planning.
- Drive commercial performance through effective budgeting, labour management and decision-making, balancing event objectives with profitability and delivery standards.
- Champion continuous improvement by challenging established ways of working, capturing client feedback and identifying opportunities to deliver a best-in-class events experience.

About you

- Significant management experience within conferences, events, banqueting or large-scale hospitality operations.
- A strong people leader with demonstrated experience building capability, developing talent and creating high-performing teams.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to balance guest experience, revenue opportunities, costs and operational outcomes.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships across diverse teams.
- A client-focused and solutions-driven mindset, with the confidence to explore creative and bespoke approaches rather than relying solely on standard offerings.
- Strong judgement, adaptability and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining the service standard expected for each event and client.

Why Crown Perth?
