As a Project Cost Controller Specialist, you will drive project financial governance and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world . You will work closely with the Project Development and Execution (PDE) and Transition Business Group teams to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment .

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

- Cost Capture, Forecasting & Risk Mitigation: Implement PDE Project Cost Control Procedures across assigned battery energy storage (BESS) or transition projects . Prepare and submit periodic cost dashboards, spend curves, actual cost tracking, commitment phasing, and contract expenditure reviews against approved budgets, actively identifying variances, risks, and corrective actions .

- Vendor & Contract Cost Validation: Gather, review, and validate cost inputs, commitment phasing, and forecasts submitted by service providers, contractors, and vendors in compliance with company timelines and contract terms . Work in tandem with Project Contract Engineers/Managers to verify contractor invoices .

- ERP & Requisition-to-Pay Administration: Administer work orders, purchase requisitions (PR), purchase orders (PO), variation order realignments, and service entries in the company ERP system . Coordinate with budget owners and Supply Chain Management for PR clarifications, expediting, vendor invoice postings, and monthly TBG Project Finance accruals through to final commitment closeout .

- Project Records & Compliance Management: Maintain transparent, easily retrievable digital and hard-copy cost logs in alignment with company file plans and document control standards . Ensure full compliance with company policies and ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 27001) for quality, health and safety, and information security management .

- Demonstrates solid analytical capability to interpret complex cost trends, pinpoint budget variance drivers, and provide actionable forecasting insights .

- Communicates effectively across all levels of internal management, staff, external suppliers, contractors, and consultants .

- Possesses strong organizational diligence to maintain meticulous audit trails, document controls, and timely payment/accrual cycles .

- Takes proactive ownership of cost governance and change management to keep multi-stakeholder capital projects within baseline budgets .

What You Will Need:

Education & Experience:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree with an Engineering background .

- Professional Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a cost management or cost control capacity .

- Project Experience: At least 1 to 3 years of hands-on project experience; prior cost control experience within the energy or power industry is preferred .

Technical / Functional Skills:

- ERP & Systems: Hands-on proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (Requisition-to-Pay process, purchase orders, service entries, work orders, commitment tracking, and module integration) .

- Cost Engineering & Controls: Strong capability in project cost modeling, spend curve creation, variance analysis, change management, and commitment forecasting .

- Contract Administration: Knowledge of contract management principles, contractor invoice validation, and framework agreements .

- Tools & Software: Advanced proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing, presentations, and electronic document management systems (EDMS) .
