About the Role

Our client is seeking a resourceful and self-driven Full Stack .NET Developer to support the development, integration, and maintenance of enterprise business applications. This role combines software development with business analysis, third-party system integration, and ongoing application support. The ideal candidate is curious, proactive, and comfortable investigating problems, asking questions, and taking initiative without relying on step-by-step direction.

Integration work is a significant part of this position, alongside application development and support. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal business partners, external vendors, and technical teams to deliver reliable software solutions, troubleshoot issues, and improve existing systems. Experience in healthcare is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, planning, technical design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation.

- Develop, enhance, maintain, and troubleshoot full-stack applications using the Microsoft .NET technology stack.

- Perform application and system integrations, working with APIs, databases, and third-party business applications.

- Analyze business requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical solutions.

- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing applications, resolving defects and investigating system issues.

- Research, test, and recommend business application solutions that meet organizational needs.

- Assist with the installation, configuration, testing, and deployment of third-party applications.

- Develop application prototypes, screen frameworks, and software enhancements based on established specifications.

- Work with SQL Server databases, database administration tasks, data warehouse environments, and existing SSIS packages.

- Review code and application designs for quality, security, consistency, and compliance with established IT standards.

- Document technical processes, system designs, troubleshooting steps, and application changes.

- Communicate project progress, technical findings, and potential issues to management and relevant stakeholders.

- Take ownership of problems by investigating root causes, identifying solutions, and recommending improvements.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

- 5–7 years of experience in ASP.NET, C#, and full-stack software development.

- Hands-on experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, and Git.

- Strong SQL Server development skills and experience with database design or administration.

- Experience with VB.NET or other .NET technologies.

- Understanding of object-oriented programming, software design patterns, and development best practices.

- Experience with APIs and integration architectures, including REST and SOAP; familiarity with RPC is beneficial.

- Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, internal business partners, and external vendors.

- Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, resourcefulness, and the ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in healthcare or healthcare-related business systems.

- Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.

- Experience with SSIS packages; the environment includes approximately 30 existing packages.

- Familiarity with Informatica.

- Experience researching, evaluating, and integrating third-party business applications.

- Ability to analyze business requirements and contribute to application design and process improvements.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is more than a developer who writes code to specification. They are a proactive problem-solver who investigates why something is not working, asks thoughtful questions, and takes ownership of finding solutions. They are comfortable balancing development and integration work with business analysis and application support, and they can make progress in an environment where formal project management methodologies and step-by-step processes are not established.
