About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to maintain, support, and optimize Cisco routing and switching environments, network security appliances, and telephony infrastructure. This role combines project work with day-to-day network operations, including monitoring performance, troubleshooting infrastructure issues, implementing system changes, and ensuring reliable network services. The ideal candidate has extensive Cisco experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to manage network infrastructure in a secure and efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, upgrade, patch, and troubleshoot network services infrastructure.
- Monitor network availability and performance to ensure reliable operations.
- Support Cisco routing and switching environments, network security appliances, and telephony infrastructure.
- Diagnose and resolve IP network, security, and telephony issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Document network processes, procedures, configurations, and internal policies.
- Assess and implement infrastructure changes in coordination with risk and security teams.
- Follow configuration management and change management procedures when modifying production environments.
- Research emerging network products, services, technologies, and industry standards.
- Coordinate with external vendors and third-party service providers.
- Collaborate with users, application teams, and infrastructure teams to maintain effective network services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a technical discipline.
- CCNA certification or equivalent networking certification.
- Extensive experience with Cisco networking technologies.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical, proactive, and detail-oriented approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to support network infrastructure and resolve technical issues effectively.
