Developer, Machine Platform

The Developer – Machine Platform designs, develops, tests, and maintains secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions for AGCO’s Machine Platform and related digital capabilities. This role works across application, integration, data, and platform layers and collaborates with product owners, architects, analysts, QA engineers, operations teams, and internal and external delivery partners to translate business needs into reliable technical solutions. The position applies modern software engineering practices, cloud-native development principles, Git/GitHub-based collaboration, and responsible use of AI-enabled development tools, with relevant functional and technical knowledge in machine data, Salesforce, Databricks, and subscription management to support connected equipment, customer value delivery, and platform scalability.

Your Impact

- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain Machine Platform solutions across web, cloud, integration, data, telemetry, and enterprise application environments.

- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, high-quality code while adhering to AGCO architecture, compliance, and development standards.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, QA, Operations, and vendors to deliver global Machine Platform capabilities using Agile methodologies.

- Build and support APIs, integrations, Salesforce CRM solutions, Databricks data pipelines, user interfaces, automated testing, and monitoring frameworks to enable connected machine and telemetry-driven services.

- Drive data quality, system performance, and continuous improvement initiatives, with a strong understanding of machine lifecycle events, subscription management processes, and enterprise data architectures.

Your Experience and Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field, with 3–4 years of professional software development experience.

- Experience developing, testing, and supporting enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, data products, and digital platforms.

- Strong knowledge of modern programming languages, application frameworks, databases, cloud platforms, Git/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.

- Hands-on experience or working knowledge of Salesforce, Databricks, subscription management processes, and enterprise data integration concepts, including IoT and telemetry.

- Understanding of cybersecurity, secure software development, AI/ML technologies, and effective communication skills to collaborate within global distributed teams.
