Kitchen Assistant (Part-Time)

MACE Thomas Street is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Part-Time Kitchen Assistant to support the preparation, presentation, and service of food products. The successful candidate will help maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and customer service while ensuring the efficient operation of the kitchen and deli areas in line with company policies and food safety regulations.

The successful candidate must be available to work early morning and daytime shifts, including weekends as required.

- Prepare and cook food according to company recipes and procedures
- Maintain high standards of food presentation, cleanliness, and hygiene
- Follow all food safety, HACCP, and health & safety procedures
- Monitor stock levels, rotate stock, and ensure products are stored correctly
- Receive deliveries in line with food safety requirements
- Provide friendly customer service and support team operations
- Carry out other reasonable duties as assigned by management

Requirements

- Previous experience in a kitchen, deli, catering, or retail food environment
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety practices
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
