Sales Assistant (Part-Time)

MACE Thomas Street is seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Part-Time Sales Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of the store. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service, assist with merchandising and stock control, and help maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and efficiency throughout the store in line with company policies and procedures.

- Deliver excellent customer service and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Operate the till accurately and efficiently, handling cash and card transactions
- Replenish stock and ensure shelves are fully stocked and merchandised to company standards
- Monitor stock levels and assist with stock rotation to ensure product freshness
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and store appearance
- Receive and check deliveries in accordance with company procedures
- Follow all health & safety and store operating procedures
- Support colleagues and carry out other reasonable duties as assigned by management

Requirements

- Previous retail or customer service experience would be beneficial
- Knowledge in food safety, hygiene and HACCP would be beneficial
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A customer-focused approach with a positive attitude and a commitment to excellent service
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and accuracy when handling transactions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, as required
