We're looking for an Assistant Pricing Manager to join our Pricing team and help us make great pricing decisions for our customers and our business. You'll use data, customer insight and market trends to provide clear recommendations that shape category pricing strategies, working closely with buying teams and colleagues across Co-op to help keep us competitive and deliver great value.

Why this role matters

Pricing influences millions of customer decisions every day, making it one of the most important levers in our business. In this role you'll have the freedom to challenge thinking, test new ideas and identify opportunities to enhance our pricing approach across stores, online and festival sites. Working with teams across the business, you'll help ensure our pricing remains competitive, customer-focused and aligned to Co-op's ambition of delivering outstanding value wherever our customers choose to shop.

What you’ll do

• Help shape category pricing strategies that deliver great value for customers while supporting Co-op's commercial goals.
• Partner with buying teams to understand cost changes and make informed pricing recommendations that balance customer needs and business performance.
• Build pricing models and use data and insight to guide decision-making across your categories.
• Carry out competitor and market pricing reviews, spotting trends and opportunities that can help keep us competitive.
• Be at the heart of pricing conversations, using your analysis and recommendations to influence stakeholders and support key business decisions.
• Lead pricing initiatives from analysis through to implementation, helping to turn insight into action.
• Work closely with colleagues across Commercial, Finance, Insight, Operations and Technology teams to deliver pricing activity and strategic projects.
• Continuously look for new ways to improve how we use pricing, data and insight to better serve our customers and strengthen our commercial performance.

What you’ll bring

We’re committed to making our roles as accessible as possible, so we only ask for the minimum criteria. To thrive here, you’ll need to bring:

• Experience using data, reporting and analytical tools to generate insights and support pricing decisions that deliver value for customers and the business
• Experience in a pricing, finance or commercial role, with a strong understanding of how pricing strategies influence sales, profitability and customer perception
• The ability to build strong relationships across teams, using insight and data to influence stakeholders and support commercial decision-making.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• A proactive and curious approach, with the confidence to challenge thinking, investigate pricing issues and identify effective solutions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
