About this role

About the role

At FLS, we have simplified our business and strengthened our profitability in recent years. We are now shifting our focus to accelerating profitable growth. To steer this journey, we are establishing a Corporate Growth Office that leads our strategic growth and profitability initiatives in close cooperation with our Business Lines, Group Functions and other stakeholders.

As Director, Corporate Growth Office and Strategy, you will build and run the engine that turns our strategic ambitions into owned, tracked and delivered results. You will own the portfolio management, governance and operating rhythm of the Corporate Growth Office. This spans the monthly Growth Office reviews in our Executive Leadership Team and in each Business Line performance review. You will also connect the initiative portfolio to our corporate strategy process. As deputy to the Head of Corporate Growth Office, you will be a trusted sparring partner to Business Line Presidents, Finance and initiative owners.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Growth Office, you will join a small, high-calibre team at our headquarters in Copenhagen. Around 80% of the role is dedicated to running the Corporate Growth Office and around 20% to corporate strategy work. The Growth Office enables, challenges and connects: our Business Lines own the delivery of their initiatives, and you will make sure it happens with pace, rigour and transparency.

What you gain

This is a rare opportunity to build a Growth Office from the ground up at a pivotal moment for FLS, and to shape how a global industrial company steers its growth. You will gain:

- Close collaboration with our CEO, the Executive Leadership Team and Business Line Presidents and Business Line management teams.
- An enterprise-wide view of how FLS creates value across Business Lines, Group Functions, sales areas and our mergers and acquisitions (M&A) agenda.
- Visible impact, as your work shows directly in our results and in how we work together as one FLS.
- A broad platform for your professional development, combining growth office leadership with corporate strategy.
- The chance to help the mining industry move towards a more sustainable future.

You will play a key role in

Setting up and running the Corporate Growth Office

- Designing and embedding the Growth Office operating model with the Head of Corporate Growth Office, including governance forums, roles and decision rights, the stage-gate process, value rules and reporting standards.
- Turning our corporate management model into a working operating rhythm, including the monthly Growth Office review in the Executive Leadership Team and the Growth Office segment of each monthly Business Line performance review.
- Building an in-house playbook and capability, so that FLS eventually runs its growth agenda with its own people, tools and routines.

Managing the growth portfolio

- Owning one Group-wide view of growth workstreams and initiatives, with clear owners, milestones, value targets, risks and interdependencies.
- Running the stage-gate process from idea to realised value, including gate-readiness checks and rigour tests before key decisions.
- Keeping the pipeline healthy through quarterly re-prioritisation and backfilling of initiatives, and spotting off-track initiatives early.

Executive governance and reporting

- Preparing decision-ready material for the Executive Leadership Team and Business Line leadership on value delivered against plan, value at risk, stage-gate decisions and blockers.
- Maintaining decision and action logs, driving follow-up and escalating issues that need executive attention.
- Contributing to Executive Leadership Team and Board updates and to the messages cascaded to the wider organisation.
- Deputising for the Head of Corporate Growth Office in executive forums.

Value tracking with Finance

- Defining the baselines, impact categories and validation rules that make reported value credible, together with Group and Business Line Finance.
- Reconciling initiative value with forecasts, budgets and actual results every month.
- Rolling out and governing a common initiative-tracking software platform as the single source of truth.

Partnering with Business Lines and Group Functions

- Acting as the Growth Office’s lead partner for selected Business Lines and Functions and challenging the ambition, pace and quality of their plans.
- Helping each Business Line establish its own Growth Office cadence in line with our common practice.
- Coordinating cross-Business Line and cross-functional initiatives, and supporting the integration of acquisitions into the growth portfolio.

Corporate strategy

- Supporting the annual strategy process and preparing strategy material for the Executive Leadership Team and the Board.
- Translating strategic and financial targets into Business Line growth ambitions, key performance indicators (KPIs) and initiative portfolios.
- Leading selected strategic analyses, such as market and competitor insights, growth levers and business cases.

Building capability and a performance culture

- Training initiative owners and Business Line Growth Office leads in our ways of working, methods and tools.
- Working with Communications and People & Culture on the growth narrative, success stories and recognition.
- Promoting transparency, accountability and fact-based decision-making across the organisation.

To succeed in the role, you

Experience and education

- Have at least eight years of professional experience, including several years with a leading management consultancy, or equivalent.
- Have hands-on experience of setting up and running a transformation, growth or program management office end to end, ideally in a growth or commercial transformation and not only in a cost program.
- Have led or steered large, cross-functional initiative portfolios with direct exposure to CEOs, executive teams and boards.
- Bring experience of strategy work, such as translating strategic targets into initiatives and KPIs; experience of running a corporate strategy process or M&A integration is an advantage.
- Ideally bring experience from industrial, capital goods, mining, energy or other business-to-business companies with a strong service business.
- Hold a master’s degree in business, economics, engineering or a related field; an MBA is an advantage.

Knowledge and skills

- Know the mechanics of a well-run growth office: stage gates, value tracking and validation, governance cadence, performance dialogues and tracking tools.
- Have strong financial acumen, including profit and loss logic, business cases, baselines and impact validation, and work naturally with Finance.
- Understand commercial growth levers such as pricing, sales effectiveness, aftermarket and service growth, and product and portfolio management.
- Create clear, concise and decision-ready material and storylines in PowerPoint and Excel; experience with strategic program management tools is an advantage.
- Are fluent in English; other languages are an advantage.

Personal qualities

- Have the executive presence and credibility to challenge senior leaders constructively and to influence without formal authority.
- Are highly structured, rigorous and detail-oriented, while staying pragmatic and focused on what moves the needle.
- Stay resilient and composed under pressure and in ambiguity.
- Are collaborative and inclusive, with a coaching mindset and a ‘one FLS’ attitude.
- Act with integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Are based in, or willing to relocate to, Copenhagen, and are able to travel when needed.
- Have a genuine interest in FLS, our customers, the mining industry and our MissionZero ambition.

Salary: DKK 1,220,000–1,800,000 per year (base plus variable).
