About this role

Hey!

Imagine amateur football finally had the platform it deserves.
Every weekend, millions of people write their own personal football stories – on pitches, in clubs and on the sidelines. We believe this passion deserves a digital home too.
That's exactly what we're building every single day.

tl;dr

We’re looking for someone who loves picking up the phone and wins new amateur clubs across Germany for Prematch every week, bringing their teams and players with them.

Main information

Start: Immediately (flexible) Location: Cologne or remote (Germany) Type: Working Student, 20h/ week, 15€/ h Team: Teamwear Working Student at PREMATCH
Here's how our working student positions are structured and how you'll take on responsibility step by step.
Target group: Bachelor or Master students Goal: Get to know the role & start-up life Responsibility: Support the daily business and gradually take on your own tasks & small projects

Is this a match?

The most important basics - so we both know if it could work.
Location: You live in Cologne or anywhere else in Germany and work remotely - once a month you join us for our all-hands day at our Cologne office (Belgisches Viertel). Where you're at: You're enrolled at a university and can join us for 20 hours a week - no sales experience needed. Languages are no problem: You speak fluent German and good English. You know football: Amateur football isn't new to you - you've played yourself, are a club member or a fan with a real feel for what happens on and off the pitch. Startup spirit: You'd rather shape things than just tick boxes - even when that means figuring stuff out without a finished roadmap.

What you'll do - your playing field

This is how you move our mission forward every day.
You're Prematch's voice on the phone. You call amateur football clubs across Germany and win them over for Prematch and our partner campaigns. You find the right people. Board, youth lead or coach - you quickly figure out who makes the calls at each club and lock in follow-ups. You own your call pipeline. You run your own weekly pipeline and hit the call and conversion targets we agree on together. You keep things clean. Every call, contact and outcome ends up neatly documented in the CRM. You bring the clubs' voice into the team. You share objections and learnings with Sales, so our pitch gets sharper every week. In addition to your core responsibilities, you will also:
Research clubs and contacts and build call lists by region and league Help improve our call script and objection handling Support our partner campaigns with club outreach

What you bring to the team

We're not looking for a perfect CV. But you should recognise yourself in these points.
Phone person: You've talked to lots of strangers before - at work, at your club or at events - and you enjoy it. Persistence: A no doesn't throw you off - you simply pick up the phone again. Club language: You've played, coached or helped run an amateur club and speak the clubs' language. Structure: You work in a structured way and document reliably, no reminders needed. Tools: Phone and video calls, Google Sheets / Excel, CRM (you'll learn it on the job) Good to know
We want you to know what this role really looks like from day one.
This is a phone job, not a social media or event role: most of your 20 hours are spent talking to clubs. If that gets you going, you'll feel right at home. Hearing no is part of the game - and 20 hours a week alongside your studies is a real commitment with clear weekly targets. In return, you see your impact every single week: in clubs won.

Bonus

Not a must - but this'll definitely earn you extra points.
First experience in sales, a call centre or customer service A role at a club, e.g. board member, youth coach or team manager You know the German amateur football landscape (associations, leagues)

The Prematch Setup

We want you to love joining us - and still love being part of the team a long time from now.
Employee participation (VSOP) - You benefit directly from the company's success. Modern tech setup - We provide the tools and devices you need to do your best work. AI-powered work - We use AI tools to work smarter and more efficiently, and provide you with the tools you need to make the most of AI in your day-to-day work. 27 days holiday per year - For proper rest and recharging. And if you're a parent, we have a special arrangement so you can balance family and time off even better. Remote work - You work remotely and join the team once a month for our All Hands Day. Offices in Cologne, Berlin, London + virtual - Whether Berlin, Cologne or London - you get to choose. And our virtual office keeps the whole team closely connected across locations. Fancy a change of scenery? Just work from one of our other offices for a bit. Work from anywhere - A week of sun abroad or a few days at the family's? No problem - you can work flexibly from outside your home base. Team events - Whether after-work in Cologne, Berlin or London: we bring our teams together regularly - to connect, hang out and grow even closer as a team. Offsites with the whole team - Four days away from the everyday with the whole team: travelling together, spinning ideas, working side by side and experiencing real team spirit.

Still here? Sounds like a pretty good match.

If you've made it this far, we hope we've managed to show you one thing: how we work, what we believe in and why this role at PREMATCH is something special.
Maybe this is exactly the moment you've been waiting for: a team that thinks big, a vision that actually moves things and the chance to help reshape amateur football digitally – together with us.
