General Labor – Recycling Sorter (1st Shift)

Shift/Hours: Monday – Friday, 1st Shift 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Pay Rate: $17.40/hr
Location: Elkridge, MD
PrideStaff is currently hiring a Recycling Sorter for an industrial recycling facility in Elkridge, MD.
Responsibilities:
Sort and separate recyclable materials (paper, plastics, metals, etc.) from a moving conveyor belt.
Identify and remove contaminants and non-recyclable items from the sorting stream.
Maintain strict awareness of material types and quality control standards.
Keep the immediate work area and facility grounds clean, organized, and free of debris.
Follow all plant safety procedures and communicate workflow concerns with team members and supervisors.
Requirements:
Must have steel toe boots .
Comfortable performing work in both indoor and outdoor settings (loud, fast-paced, non-climate-controlled environment subject to varying weather conditions).
Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, and perform repetitive motion tasks for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs as needed.
Previous warehouse or general labor experience is preferred, but not required.
Strong team-player attitude, punctuality, and commitment to workplace safety.
