About the role
We are looking for an AI Business Analyst to work with business stakeholders across our Retirement markets and the Retirement AI & Automation CoE, turning business needs into practical AI and automation solutions.
You will shape solutions from discovery and requirements through delivery and adoption, making sure we solve the right problems and deliver measurable value. You will help decide where Generative AI, AI agents or low-code automation fit best, challenge requirements constructively and define the outcomes that guide delivery.
This role suits someone who enjoys solving business problems, understands what AI can and cannot do, and is comfortable working between business users and technical teams.
What you will do
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business objectives, processes, pain points and opportunities;
- Facilitate discovery sessions and workshops to gather, analyze and challenge business requirements;
- Assess, with the Tech Lead, whether a problem is best solved with Generative AI, AI agents, low-code automation or process change;
- Define the business problem, expected outcomes and success measures before solutions move into delivery;
- Secure a named business owner for each use case and work with them to define test cases and what a correct output looks like;
- Translate business needs into clear, development-ready user stories, acceptance criteria and process flows;
- Map business processes and rules in a way that engineers can turn into reusable agent skills;
- Define AI-specific requirements such as data sources, expected outputs, quality thresholds, human review steps and evaluation criteria;
- Analyze and prepare the data that solutions rely on, from sources such as Excel, databases and Microsoft Fabric;
- Maintain a prioritized backlog and support Agile delivery through refinement, sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives;
- Identify dependencies, operational impacts, risks and Responsible AI considerations that may affect implementation;
- Lead business testing, validation and readiness;
- Track delivered solutions against agreed outcomes and share lessons learned across the CoE.
What we are looking for
- Degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, Data, Mathematics or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience;
- 3+ years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, process automation, technical operations or AI workflow development;
- Proven experience gathering, analyzing and documenting complex business requirements and turning them into working solutions;
- Good understanding of how Generative AI, LLMs and AI agents work, including their strengths, limitations and risks;
- Hands-on experience with Python, SQL or another scripting language to analyze or transform data;
- Strong Excel skills and practical experience cleaning and reconciling messy datasets;
- Experience with process mapping, user stories, acceptance criteria and backlog management;
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments;
- Appreciation of system dependencies, integrations and operational impacts;
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively;
- Excellent written and spoken English (mandatory), with the ability to explain technical ideas in plain language.
What will make you stand out
- Experience with low-code automation (Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio) or programming;
- Exposure to Microsoft Foundry, Microsoft Fabric / Fabric IQ, Power BI or Microsoft Copilot;
- Knowledge of retirement, pensions, actuarial or financial services;
- Business analysis (e.g. IIBA, BCS) or Agile certification.
