About the Role
In order to achieve its ambition of serving 80,000-100,000 Fellows over the next decade, Braven is hiring an HRIS Analyst, Workday, who will act as the hands-on owner of Braven's new Workday platform, partnering with People & Operations to build and maintain how Workday supports our staff, and with IT to make Workday the trusted source of people data behind access, provisioning, and automations across Braven's systems. As a member of the Systems team, you will own Workday’s long-term configuration, security, integrations, and reporting so it scales cleanly with Braven’s growth.
This role is on the Systems team and reports directly to the Head of Workplace Technology & Operations.
What You’ll Do
Workday Administration & Optimization (35%)
- Serve as Braven's primary Workday administrator, owning business process configuration, supervisory organizations, condition rules, notifications, and tenant and sandbox management
- Continuously improve Workday by triaging defects and closing configuration gaps, and partnering with People & Operations to prioritize and deliver an ongoing enhancement roadmap
- Manage Workday's twice-yearly feature releases, from impact assessment through regression testing and rollout
- Run intake for enhancement requests from People & Operations, translate business needs into scalable configuration, and assess downstream impact before changes go live
Integrations & Automation (25%)
- Build, monitor, and troubleshoot integrations using EIBs and Core Connectors, keeping Workday the source of truth for people data across Braven's systems
- Own joiner, mover, and leaver provisioning from Workday into Okta, partnering with the IT team so access is granted and removed accurately and on time
- Evaluate and redesign automations as Workday and connected systems evolve, and identify manual processes that can be automated
- Coordinate with Workday, implementation partners, and other vendors to resolve integration issues and evaluate new functionality
Security, Data Integrity & Reporting (25%)
- Administer role-based and user-based security groups, domain and business process security policies, and integration system user (ISU) accounts, following least privilege and segregation of duties
- Run regular access reviews and data audits, and manage mass data loads through EIBs with quality checks
- Build reports, calculated fields, and dashboards that give People & Operations, IT, and leadership accurate, timely people data
- Maintain report governance, including naming conventions, a report inventory, and retirement of unused reports
Support, Training & Documentation (15%)
- Provide tier 2 support for Workday issues submitted through Jira Service Management or raised directly in Workday
- Train staff and managers on Workday self-service and new features as they roll out
- Develop and maintain documentation for Workday configurations, integrations, and processes in Confluence
