About the location:
Nestled along a two-mile (3.2-kilometre) stretch of beach in Puerto Rico’s Bahia Beach community, Four Seasons Resort and Residences Puerto Rico is also surrounded by its own 483-acre (195-hectare) private nature reserve. The property is seamlessly integrated with its natural surroundings, allowing guests and residents to immerse themselves in the white sand beaches, verdant walking trails, and myriad outdoor activities – from golf, tennis, swimming and beyond.
About the role:
Serve guest needs by providing exceptional knowledge of food & beverage menu items as well as information regarding preparation methods.
What you will do:
- Offer pre-determined menu selections to each table; maintain knowledge of each selection’s, origin, taste, and preparation method; communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the Banquet Manager or kitchen; check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order; transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
- Assist in set-up of linen, china, glass, silver, and accent pieces for each function according to the banquet event order.
- Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
- Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables, buffets, and food stations.
- Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
- Serve and prepare drinks
What you bring:
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to lift, push, and move banquet equipment
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive and professional attitude
- Previous hotel or banquet experience preferred, but not required
