Job Summary:
Pickett is seeking a skilled Pipeline Welder experienced in SMAW (Stick) welding to join our team in Corpus Christi, TX. This is a full-time, local position with no travel required. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, commitment to safety, and experience working on pipeline or construction projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform SMAW (Stick) welding on pipeline systems and related components
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding procedures, and specifications
- Ensure welds meet quality and safety standards
- Inspect completed welds for accuracy and structural integrity
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition
- Follow all company and site safety policies and procedures
- Work closely with crew members to complete projects efficiently
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of SMAW (Stick) welding experience (pipeline preferred)
- Ability to pass a welding test (if required)
- Knowledge of pipeline construction and welding procedures
- Strong understanding of safety practices in a construction environment
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions and perform physically demanding tasks
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous pipeline welding experience
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes
- OSHA certifications are a plus
