Your job will be to develop and execute advanced material planning activities across a portfolio of customer projects, driving procurement readiness, identifying supply and cost risks early, and supporting a seamless transition from planning into purchasing execution.
What we do
The Advanced Planning team bridges project strategy and procurement execution by translating customer requirements, project schedules, and product releases into actionable purchasing plans. The team partners closely with Engineering, NPI, Procurement, and Program Management to ensure material requirements are defined, budgets are understood, and projects are positioned for successful execution.

- Proactively manage material demand through the advanced procurement process, ensuring requirements align with project milestones and purchasing timelines.
- Partner with NPI, Engineering, Procurement, and Program Management to align upcoming product releases, project milestones, material requirements, and execution timelines.
- Ensure planning inputs are complete and accurate prior to Procurement handoff, including buy lists, quantities, pricing, material requirements, and required dates.
- Identify long-lead, high-risk, and schedule-critical material requirements and drive actions to mitigate potential project impacts.
- Monitor changes to project scope, schedules, material requirements, and pricing to assess impacts to purchasing plans and spend forecasts.
- Drive cross-functional resolution of planning gaps that could impact procurement timing or project execution, while supporting continuous improvement and standardization of advanced planning, forecasting, and procurement-readiness processes.
What you'll need
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience or equivalent work experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with ERP systems; SAP experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of material planning, procurement, demand management, and supply chain principles, including the ability to translate project requirements, BOMs, SOWs, or similar inputs into executable material and purchasing plans.
- Strong analytical skills with experience developing forecasts, analyzing material requirements, and identifying supply, schedule, or cost risks.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP, MRP, or other planning systems.
- Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment.
Our Environment
