Founded in Pittsburgh in 1907, we operate from 8 locations across the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, delivering projects nationwide for our strategic customers.

We support the breadth of client needs — from routine 24/7 service and emergency restoration to their largest and most complex projects. Our proven safety record, technical depth, and longstanding client relationships have made us a partner of choice for Fortune 500 companies, leading general contractors, and EPC contractors.

We are seeking to hire a QA/QC Manager in our Pittsburgh, PA office. This role will be on site in Shippingport, Pennsylvania.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
This role owns the quality program and owner quality records for the Bloom PIT Campus Power Station, a large cost-plus, open-book, self-perform IBEW electrical and medium-voltage project. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager and working directly with the General Superintendent, the position leads the QA/QC Specialists and QA/QC Energy Marshal and remains independent of production.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Own the Quality Program. Develop and maintain the project quality plan, inspection and test plans, hold and witness points, first-install benchmarks, calibrated-equipment lists, and material and equipment protection requirements.
- Lead Inspections and Nonconformance Resolution. Oversee daily inspections and installed-work verification, manage NCR disposition and corrective action, and ensure hold points are met before work is covered or signed off.
- Control Owner Quality Records. Own required quality records, including connection photos with torque marks, torque logs, calibrated tool and meter records, insulation and NETA test results, DC wire audits, and record package approvals.
- Direct Commissioning, Energization, and Turnover. Account for commissioning and energization planning, MOP and LOTO documentation, sequence development, and complete turnover packages to the owner.
- Represent Quality with the Owner and GC. Serve as the quality point of contact for audits, pre-installation meetings, record submissions, quality findings, and weekly and executive project reviews.
- Lead the QA/QC Team. Set priorities and inspection coverage across areas and shifts, assign work, and develop the QA/QC Specialists and QA/QC Energy Marshal.
- Champion Safety Culture. Lead by example in upholding safety standards and supporting best practices across field and office environments, reinforcing expectations established by project leadership and the on-site Safety Manager.
- Crave Learning. We value people who want to grow through hands-on experience, training, and mentorship. Be active in identifying and engaging in these opportunities.
- Additional Responsibilities. Assume additional duties and responsibilities as delegated by Sargent Executive Management.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience in electrical construction quality management.
- Working knowledge of NETA/ATS acceptance testing, megger and insulation resistance testing, torque verification, medium-voltage cable testing, grounding, NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, and applicable codes.
- Experience with ProjectSight, Procore or similar QA/QC platforms, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Certifications such as ASQ CQM or CQE, NETA Level III, ICC or similar, and OSHA 30 preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear plans, reports, and records and hold firm on quality requirements.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- 8 to 12 years of related experience in electrical, utility-scale, or industrial construction QA/QC, including at least 3 years leading a quality program on a large project.
- Experience developing and administering quality plans, inspection and test plans, hold points, NCR processes, and owner or OEM quality record packages.
- Experience with self-perform union IBEW electrical work, medium-voltage, substation, fuel cell, BESS, or data center projects preferred.
