About this role

Network Monitoring Analyst We are seeking a Network Communications Analyst 2 to support a mission-critical defense program responsible for enabling integrated command, control, battle management, and communications capabilities across a global operational environment. This position plays a vital role in maintaining network availability, supporting operational readiness, and ensuring continuous monitoring of complex enterprise systems that support national defense missions. The successful candidate will join a team responsible for the day-to-day monitoring, operation, and maintenance of network infrastructure within a 24/7 operational environment. Working closely with watch officers, cybersecurity personnel, network engineers, and system administrators, the analyst will provide first-level technical support, perform troubleshooting activities, document operational issues, and escalate problems when necessary to ensure mission continuity. Key responsibilities include monitoring network performance and system health, responding to alerts and incidents, assisting with hardware and software installations, supporting user account management activities, and maintaining operational logs and documentation. The analyst will utilize a variety of network management, monitoring, diagnostic, and remote-access tools to identify and resolve issues affecting network operations. This role requires strong technical knowledge of networking concepts and the ability to work effectively during high-tempo operational and test events. Qualified candidates should possess a solid understanding of LAN/WAN technologies, TCP/IP networking, network monitoring and management principles, and enterprise infrastructure operations. Experience with Cisco and Juniper networking technologies, Windows Server administration, virtualization platforms such as VMware vCenter and vSphere, and remote access tools including SSH, RDP, FTP, and SCP is highly desired. Familiarity with OSPF routing, network troubleshooting methodologies, and incident response processes is also important. Candidates must hold an active DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification or higher and have the ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as mission requirements dictate. Preferred qualifications include a TS/SCI clearance, experience with TACLANE encryption devices, Linux/Unix administration, network management platforms, and collaboration with DoD network operations organizations. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated network professional seeking to support a high-visibility defense mission in a dynamic operational environment.
