About this role

Job Description

● Lead one or more product managers in the Operations tribe, setting priorities, coaching them, and
owning the product results of the part of the business verticals assigned to the Product Lead.

● Collaborate with more than one squad under this umbrella, keeping their roadmaps aligned to shared
operational objectives and resolving overlaps and dependencies between them.

● Be on the hub floor at least twice a week to watch operations first-hand, talk to hub teams, and find
where the current process or product slows them down.

● Travel to hubs outside Cairo & Giza, including the Delta and Upper Egypt, to understand and productize
operations that run on different cut-off times and operational flows from the Cairo & Giza hubs.

● Optimize the process before building anything. Review how work is done on the ground and fix the
process first; commission a tech solution only when a process change cannot deliver the result.

● Translate on-ground challenges into clear problem statements and product solutions, and discuss them
with operations teams in their own language, using their terms and their metrics instead of product jargon.

● Prioritize and balance work across several scopes at the same time, keeping each squad focused and
making sure each scope delivers measurable impact.

● Review the quality of discovery, solution design and delivery by the PMs, and follow each release
through to hub adoption, measuring it against the operational metrics agreed with operations teams.

● Align priorities and trade-offs with operations leadership, engineering and design, and report progress
and results to the Head of Product, Operations.

Job Requirements

● At least 5 years of product experience.

●Some years of product leadership experience, enough to lead and develop one or more
product managers.

● Required: Able to commit to hub visits at least twice a week.

●Open to traveling outside Cairo & Giza to the Delta and Upper Egypt hubs, which have
different cut-off times and operational flows that need to be productized.

● Knows how to optimize processes and does not treat a tech solution as the first answer.

● Knows how to translate on-ground challenges into product solutions, and can talk in the same
language as on-ground people.

●Able to focus and create impact in multiple scopes at the same time, including working with
more than one squad.

●Experience in logistics or supply chain is preferred.
