Global Markets is part of our HSBC Corporate and Institutional Banking division, a markets-led, financing-focused business that provides investment and financial solutions. We specialise in foreign exchange, credits and rates, structured derivatives, equities and debt, equity and equity-linked capital markets.

We are currently seeking a high-caliber professional to join our team as AVP, DCC Operations

In this role, you will

- Ensure that the day-to-day operations (Corporate Actions, Cash transfers, Billing, reconciliations, Statics data, Settlement, Fx, Reporting, client’s queries etc …) are performed in an efficient manner.
Ensure that clients receive first class services and the processes are compliant with internal policy and local regulations.

Principal Accountabilities:

Impact on the Business / Function

- To supervise and control daily activity such as Corporate Actions, Cash transfers, Billing, reconciliations, Statics data, Settlement, Fx, client’s queries, Reporting and others tasks.
- To manage Operation Risk closely and avoid losses and ISR breaches.

Customers / Stakeholders

- High quality of service to clients
- To ensure all work procedures comply with Group and local Regulatory requirements as well as client SLAs.
- To work with other departments and ASP to ensure streamlining processes.

Leadership & Teamwork

- To supervise daily works of supported officers and assistants.
- To promote the teamwork spirit.

Operational Effectiveness & Control

- Compliance with group policy/ guidelines and local regulations.
- Control operational risk/ loss effectively.
- Regular review and update DIBs/ procedures.
- Automated processes to reduce errors.
- Answer to clients in timely matter and provide first class services.

To be successful for this role, you need

- Bachelor's degree
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Any relevant experience in Markets and Securities Services would be an advantage.
- Certificate of completion of securities courses would also be an advantage.
- Cautious, meticulous, well organized, professional, and committed.
- Good English speaking and writing are required.
