Maison Margiela is a Paris-based fashion house founded in 1988 by Belgian designer Martin Margiela. Maison Margiela is looking for a reliable and organised Stock Controller to support our store operations. Working closely with the sales team, you will ensure stock accuracy, efficient merchandise flows and timely replenishment to support sales and deliver an excellent client experience.
Key Responsibilities
Deliveries and Product Checks
- Receive and process incoming deliveries in accordance with Group procedures.
- Check the quality, quantity and conformity of all products received, reporting any discrepancies.
Transfers and Collection Returns
- Prepare and process merchandise transfers and end-of-season collection returns in line with established procedures.
- Ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded and completed on time.
Stockroom Organisation and Inventory Management
- Maintain a clean, tidy and well-organised stockroom to facilitate product access and replenishment.
- Carry out regular stock checks, monitor stock rotation and investigate discrepancies.
- Anticipate replenishment needs by monitoring product movements on the shop floor.
- Communicate effectively with the sales team to ensure product availability and support sales.
- Manage merchandise flows, including transfers, product reservations and other internal stock movements.
- Prepare for commercial activities by ensuring the appropriate products are selected and available.
Stocktakes and Loss Prevention
- Conduct regular stocktakes to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Help reduce stock losses by identifying issues and contributing to corrective action plans.
Your Profile
- Previous experience in stockroom operations, logistics or inventory management, ideally within fashion or luxury retail.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise and coordinate tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and a rigorous approach to stock accuracy.
- A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills.
- A proactive, results-oriented approach, with the ability to deliver under pressure.
- Reliability, honesty and integrity.
- Confidence using stock management systems and digital tools.
- Proficiency in German and English.
