The Hotel Houseperson plays an important role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the hotel. This position supports Room Attendants by preparing guest rooms, delivering linens and amenities, maintaining housekeeping supplies, and responding to guest requests. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent customer service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Entry-level position; little to no previous work experience required.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to communicate professionally and provide excellent customer service.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning supplies, chemicals, proper storage, and safe handling procedures.
- Ability to recognize potential safety hazards and follow proper procedures when handling biohazards and personal protective equipment.
- Strong organizational skills, dependability, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with guests, coworkers, and other departments.
- Ability to stand, walk, push, and pull housekeeping carts for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
