As Control Tower Manager, Seafreight, you take the lead of a specialized Control Tower team within DSV Air & Sea.
You combine people management with operational excellence and ensure that our customers can count on high-quality and compliant seafreight operations.
You organize the daily activities of your team, monitor performance and data quality, and keep a close eye on financial results.
At the same time, you act as a key point of contact for customers and colleagues throughout the international DSV network.

Tasks:

- Lead, coach and develop the Control Tower team and organize the daily workload;

- Ensure high-quality and compliant handling of seafreight shipments;

- Monitor correct invoicing and data quality;

- Follow up financial reports, volumes, performance and budget targets;

- Prepare and participate in customer meetings and handle customer escalations;

- Maintain close daily contacts with colleagues and stakeholders throughout the DSV network;

- Ensure customer-specific operating procedures (CSOPs) are correctly followed;

- Apply and monitor DSV Compliance requirements related to Security, embargo countries, carriers and commodities;

- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, the DSV Code of Conduct and Safety & Security requirements;

- Analyze operational results, identify opportunities for improvement and drive processes and strategies within the team.

You bring

- You hold a higher education degree in freight forwarding/logistics or have an equivalent level through relevant professional experience;

- You have solid expertise in Seafreight;

- You have experience in leading, coaching and developing employees;

- You combine a customer-oriented mindset with a strong focus on results;

- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and know how to set the right priorities;

- You remain effective under pressure and communicate confidently with customers, colleagues and stakeholders;

- You have a good command of Dutch, English;

- You are digitally proficient and have experience with MS Office, WMS systems and preferably CW1;

- You enjoy working in an international environment and know how to bring people together around a common goal.
