You get it done

As Supervisor, Control Tower Seafreight, you are at the heart of our daily seafreight operations.
You lead and organize the Control Tower team, ensure smooth operational follow-up and make sure our key account customers receive the high-quality service they expect.
You combine hands-on operational expertise with people management.
Together with your team, you keep shipments, processes, invoicing and data quality on track. You also work closely with Sales, Customer Care, Procurement and other departments to continuously improve the way we operate.

Tasks

- Lead the Control Tower team on a daily basis, organize the workload and ensure correct operational handling;

- Coach colleagues, share your seafreight expertise and support the onboarding and training of new team members;

- Follow up on key account customers and act as an escalation point for specific or complex cases;

- Evaluate import and export processes and propose improvements to management;

- Work closely with Sales, Customer Care, Procurement and other departments;

- Monitor invoicing, data quality and the monthly closing process;

- Document and report on handled cases;

- Prepare and participate in customer meetings;

- Create and maintain SOPs for customers and DSV colleagues;

- Ensure that customer-specific operating procedures (CSOPs) are correctly followed;

- Apply DSV Compliance requirements and ensure operations are in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, the DSV Code of Conduct and Safety & Security requirements.

You bring

- You hold a higher education degree in freight forwarding/logistics, or have an equivalent level through relevant professional experience;

- You have solid Seafreight expertise and a good understanding of import and export operations;

- You have experience in guiding, coaching or leading colleagues and know how to organize a team effectively;

- You are customer-oriented and feel comfortable taking ownership of key accounts and escalations;

- You combine strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on, result-oriented approach;

- You work accurately and remain effective when priorities change or pressure increases;

- You have a good command of Dutch, English and French;

- You have advanced digital skills, including strong Excel knowledge, and experience with WMS systems and CW1;

- Knowledge of or training in IMDG/CODEX and BENCR is an asset for this role;

- You communicate clearly and enjoy sharing knowledge and working with colleagues across different teams and cultures.
