About this role
Description
Are you passionate about helping enterprise customers solve their most complex technical and business challenges through cloud adoption? We are looking for an experienced and collaborative Senior Delivery Consultant to join our Professional Services team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you will work directly with customers to define technical strategies, architect scalable solutions, and drive measurable business outcomes. You will bring deep cloud expertise and strong business acumen to guide customers from initial assessment through successful delivery, creating lasting impact on how they operate and innovate. If you thrive on building trusted relationships with senior leaders, translating ambiguous requirements into actionable solutions, and mentoring others along the way, this is the role for you.
Key job responsibilities
- Define technical strategies and architect cloud solutions that address complex customer challenges, ensuring alignment with both short-term goals and long-term business outcomes.
- Lead customer engagements end-to-end, from presales scoping and solution design through delivery, while managing risks and setting clear expectations with senior stakeholders.
- Build consensus across cross-functional teams, partners, and customer leadership to drive adoption of best practices, reusable architectures, and scalable mechanisms that benefit multiple customers.
- Evaluate and integrate generative AI and emerging cloud technologies into customer solutions, applying responsible practices to maximize productivity and quality.
- Actively mentor and develop team members, create reusable intellectual property such as reference architectures and technical content, and contribute to the growth of the broader Professional Services practice.
A day in the life
You might start your morning reviewing a solution architecture with a customer's engineering team, then shift to a strategy discussion with their senior leadership about how cloud adoption can accelerate a key business initiative. After lunch, you collaborate with internal partners to refine a reusable framework that will help future customers facing similar challenges. Throughout it all, you balance technical depth with clear communication, ensuring every stakeholder understands the path forward and the value being delivered.
About the team
Our Professional Services team partners with customers of all sizes to help them design, build, and optimize their cloud environments. We combine deep technical expertise with practical business understanding to deliver outcomes that matter. Our culture is built on collaboration, empathy, and inclusion — we learn from every engagement and share that knowledge broadly to raise the bar for everyone. Whether you are working with a startup scaling rapidly or a global enterprise transforming its operations, you will be part of a team that is shaping how organizations succeed in the cloud.
