Job Summary We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Solar PV Electrician to join our renewable energy team. The primary focus of this role is to wire, connect, commission, and test residential and commercial Solar PV systems, battery storage units (ESS), and EV charging points. Working alongside our roofing team, you will bring solar arrays online safely, ensure strict compliance with modern electrical standards, and deliver high-energy performance systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
· AC/DC System Wiring: Route and install DC cabling from the roof-mounted solar array to the inverter, and manage all AC wiring from the inverter to the main distribution board.
· Component Installation: Securely mount and wire solar inverters, hybrid systems, battery storage banks, generation meters, and surge protection devices (SPDs).
· Main Board Integration: Carry out necessary consumer unit modifications, introduce dual-supply isolators, and safely tie the solar PV system into the property's main electrical grid supply.
· Smart Technology Configuration: Set up and commission system monitoring hardware, CT clamps, smart meters, energy diverters (e.g., eddi), and integrate them with client Wi-Fi networks and mobile apps.
· Testing & Commissioning: Conduct rigorous DC string testing (VOC, ISC) and AC verification tests. Complete all statutory pre-commissioning and post-commissioning checklists.
· Fault Finding & Maintenance: Troubleshoot existing solar PV systems, replace faulty inverters or optimization units, and perform periodic electrical health checks.
