• Set up and operate robotic MIG welding equipment and, where required, support TIG welding or manual finishing

operations.

• Load or select approved welding programmes, check operating parameters and make authorised adjustments to

achieve consistent weld quality.

• Inspect welded assemblies for alignment, distortion, weld appearance, penetration and dimensional accuracy against

drawings and specifications.

• Identify and correct routine issues involving the robot, welding torch, wire feed, gas supply, fixtures, sensors and

component positioning.

• Work closely with production, engineering and quality personnel when introducing new door or frame variants,

fixtures or welding programmes.

• Record production, quality and downtime information and report recurring faults or non-conforming parts promptly.

• Meet agreed production targets while protecting the quality and performance requirements of Fireblock products.

• Keep the robotic welding cell, fixtures and surrounding work area clean, organised and safe, and manage welding

consumables responsibly.

but is not essential.

• An interest in robotics, automation and modern manufacturing processes, with the ability to follow structured

operating instructions.

• Good attention to detail and a careful approach to quality, component identification and dimensional accuracy.

• Ability to read or learn to read engineering drawings, job sheets and production instructions.

• A dependable, safety-conscious and team-focused approach, with the confidence to raise problems and ask for

guidance during training.

• Forklift experience or a forklift licence would be an advantage. Training may be provided where required.
