Compassion Behavioral Health is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our overnight team at our PHP location in Fort Lauderdale!

What You'll Be Doing

As an Overnight Behavioral Health Technician, you will play an essential role in supporting our patients and maintaining a safe, structured environment throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and supervise patients to ensure their safety, well-being, and adherence to facility guidelines.

- Document patient behaviors, observations, and any significant incidents accurately and promptly.

- Build positive, professional relationships with patients while maintaining appropriate therapeutic boundaries.

- Support the implementation of individualized treatment plans established by the clinical team.

- Utilize effective communication, active listening, and de-escalation techniques when responding to challenging situations.

- Collaborate with fellow BHTs, therapists, and other clinical staff to ensure continuity of patient care.

- Encourage a positive and respectful environment that supports patient recovery.

- Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

- Assist department leadership with daily responsibilities and operational needs.

What We're Looking For

- A valid driver's license with a clear driving record is required.

- Previous experience working with individuals experiencing mental health or substance use challenges is preferred.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to remain calm, professional, and compassionate in challenging situations.

- Dependability, accountability, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

- A genuine interest in supporting individuals throughout their recovery journey.
