Part-Time Housekeeper | San Francisco, CA Tuesdays | Guaranteed Weekly Hours
A private client is looking for an experienced, part-time Housekeeper to care for their two-bedroom, three-bathroom residence in San Francisco, which also includes an office and living room. The clients are in residence part of each week, typically a night or a few days midweek, so this role is about keeping the home fresh, stocked, and ready at all times. The core schedule is Tuesdays, with the likely possibility of adding a day or two during busier weeks.
The right person is experienced, self-sufficient, and kind, with a natural ability to read a room. You notice the details others might miss, like a new scratch on a counter or a sink that isn’t draining, and you speak up right away. You’re comfortable working quietly while the clients are home and keeping interactions friendly but minimal. Doing well in this role means the clients walk into a home that is spotless, well stocked, and cared for without ever having to ask.
Responsibilities
- Deep clean the full residence each week, including bedrooms, bathrooms, office, kitchen, and living areas
- Wash, dry, fold, and put away laundry and linens
- Make beds and refresh the home before and after the clients’ stays
- Check inventory of beverages, toiletries, and cleaning supplies, and share what’s running low
- Restock supplies once orders arrive
- Flag any maintenance issues or damage as soon as you notice them
- Care for finishes, fixtures, and furnishings with the appropriate products and techniques
- Manage dry cleaning
Qualifications
- 5-8+ years of housekeeping experience in a private residence or luxury hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of caring for high-end finishes, fabrics, and surfaces
- Self-directed and proactive, with a sharp eye for detail
- Clear, direct communicator who raises issues right away
- Kind, discreet, and respectful of the clients’ privacy and space
- Flexible to add a day or two when needed
- Legally authorized to work in the US
- Willing to complete a background check and provide excellent references
Compensation
- $55++ per hour | DOE
- Guaranteed weekly hours
- Paid sick days
