The impact you’ll make
The Pilot Operations organization is a dynamic, flexible, and innovative team focused on enabling fast, high-quality, and competitively differentiated transitions of new products to our volume manufacturing partners. The Transitions Program Manager plays a critical role within the team, leading complex, cross-functional initiatives that drive successful product transitions.
What you’ll do
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles and manufacturing operations.
- Expertise in structured problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Ability to identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and drive solutions.
- Understanding of quality standards and on-time delivery expectations.
- Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Lead executive presentations and Phase Gate Reviews.
- Lead, coach, and collaborate with cross-functional global teams.
- Apply business knowledge across operations, sales, product management, and engineering while driving continuous improvement.
- Thrive in a dynamic environment, manage competing priorities, and foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and teamwork.
Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field with 8+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering or technical experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of program or project management experience.
- Experience in Product Design, Manufacturing Engineering, NPD, or NPI.
- Proven leadership experience with phase-gate program management methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, data interpretation, and structured problem-solving skills, including PSDM.
- Proficiency with program management tools such as MS Project and Planview.
Preferred qualifications
- MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
- Project management certification, such as PMP.
- Six Sigma certification.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
