📍 Position Details

Position: Storeman
Location: East Rand Branch
Reports to: Branch Manager

🎯 Purpose of the Role

To provide a reliable and efficient stores and logistics service to Centurion distributors and customers, ensuring excellent stock control and supporting the overall success of the branch.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

📦 Stock Control & Inventory Management

- Generate weekly stock orders to maintain sufficient stock levels.
- Liaise with Sales and Technical departments before placing orders.
- Monitor stock availability on SAP and communicate shortages.
- Receive, unpack, identify, and count incoming stock accurately.
- Conduct basic quality checks and report any damages.
- Record and communicate stock variances immediately.
- Apply the First In, First Out (FIFO) stock principle.
- Conduct stocktakes, cycle counts, and regular bin audits.
- Allocate and manage bin locations for stock.

📋 Stores Administration

- Maintain accurate stores documentation and filing systems.
- Ensure stock is stored correctly and safely.
- Maintain accurate bin labelling and stock locations.
- Verify picking slips and communicate discrepancies.
- Ensure all required documentation is completed before stock is released.

🤝 Team Support & Operations

- Allocate work to the Stores Assistant or Driver and monitor completion.
- Assist with branch operational requirements when needed.
- Support the overall stores process, including receiving, stock control, housekeeping, and logistics activities.

⚠️ Safety & Housekeeping

- Maintain high housekeeping standards within the stores area.
- Ensure only authorised personnel have access to the stores.
- Adhere to all health and safety requirements and procedures.

✅ Minimum Requirements

- Matric
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar stores or warehouse environment
- Proficient in SAP
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Willing and able to work overtime when required
