Purpose

A leading resort in Athi River with over 70 executive villas is looking to fill a manager role.

The Purchasing Manager will manage and source quality goods and services at the best value and keep the resort well stocked.

Job Description

Key responsibilities

- Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers; maintain an approved supplier list.
- Process purchase requisitions and orders in line with approved budgets and authority limits.
- Receive goods, check quality and quantity, and reconcile with invoices.
- Coordinate with stores and departments to manage stock levels and avoid shortages and waste.
- Track prices, savings and supplier performance.
- Report on purchasing spend and stock to the General Manager.

Qualifications

Qualifications and experience

- Diploma or degree in Procurement, Supply Chain or Business; CIPS/KISM an advantage.
- 3+ years in purchasing, preferably in hospitality.
- Strong negotiation, numeracy and record-keeping skills; high integrity.

Terms

3 month's probationary period

2 years renewable contracts subject to satisfactory performance

Basic salary Kshs 50,000 gross per month
