About this role
Are you passionate about creating a safe, compliant and sustainable working environment?
We're looking for an EHS Officer to join our Environment, Health & Safety team on a fixed-term basis at AFI Felinfach. The role will play a key part in supporting site safety initiatives, driving compliance and promoting a positive safety culture across the business.
About the role
As an EHS Officer, you will work closely with the EHS Lead and teams across the site to support the development and maintenance of our EHS management systems. You'll help ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements while supporting investigations, audits, training and continuous improvement activities.
About you
We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and passionate about safety. You'll have experience within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment, strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with colleagues at all levels. An IOSH qualification (or equivalent) and good Microsoft Office skills are desirable.
Who we think will thrive
This role would suit someone who enjoys being visible on the shop floor, building relationships, solving problems and driving improvements. You'll be comfortable managing multiple priorities, supporting investigations and helping others understand and apply EHS requirements.
What you will bring
- Experience supporting health, safety and environmental activities within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Experience with audits, inspections, risk assessments and action tracking.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- The ability to influence safe behaviours and support a positive safety culture.
Why join us
This is a great opportunity to broaden your EHS experience, work with teams across the site and make a meaningful contribution to the safety and wellbeing of our colleagues while helping drive continuous improvement at AFI Felinfach.
