Culinary Services Cook | $16.00 | Corpus Christi, TX
THE JOB: As a Cook, you'll help create a welcoming, safe, and caring home for our residents. With your kindness, attention to detail, and dependable teamwork, you'll make a difference from the moment your shift begins. Working closely with the team at The Waterford at Corpus Christi, you'll play a key role in delivering the exceptional care and experience that defines our community.
THE STARTING RATE: $16.00 per hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
- Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
- Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
- Maintains standards for dining services to the Residents to include efficient meal service delivery, customer service and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen.
- Clean after preparation and service; work area, pots and equipment.
- Ensures all leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored in the proper place.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Prior experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or guest service is preferred, but not required
- Required license/certification, if applicable
- A caring attitude and reliable attendance
- High school graduate or GED preferred
- Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
- High Experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
- Some supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing
