About this role
Why This Role Exists
We’re looking for a Product Manager with a track record of real impact who has outgrown their current environment. You combine intuition with evidence, have a feel for what users need before the data proves it, and you’re disciplined enough to test that feeling before building on it.
At Transferz we’re building a global ground transportation platform in 150+ countries. Our goal? To be the winner in the first and last mile of travel, globally. We believe growth comes from quality, so we need a PM who treats the product as their own: from vision through strategy to delivery, from partner conversations to the incidents that hit travellers. We’re a deliberately small team with big ambitions, and that’s how we keep our pace.
If that’s what you’re looking for, we want to hear from you!
What We’re Building
A platform that handles ground transportation for 10,000+ travellers a day. It connects travellers, travel brands like Booking.com , Expedia and GetYourGuide and a global network of transfer companies and drivers. Our products range from traveller and driver apps to partner APIs and back-office tools for transfer companies, resellers and our own operations.
Ground transportation is the last fragmented piece of the travel journey: flights and hotels are booked in seconds, but the ride from the airport is still a gamble. We’re building the platform that changes that, and we intend to become the global standard for it.
What You’ll Own
Your work comes in two forms, and you need to be strong at both:
Company bets you turn into results. Some initiatives come from the top: strategic priorities where the goal is set, but the “how” and the result are yours. You turn ambition into the right metrics, align engineering, operations and commercial teams, and make sure it lands, on time and at the quality we stand for.
Opportunities you find and own yourself. The rest you initiate pro-actively. You talk to travellers, partners, drivers and our ops team, dig into the data, and spot the problems nobody has prioritised yet. You validate with a prototype, a query or five customer calls, build the case, and take it from idea to impact.
Across both:
- Set the direction. Own the roadmap for your area and make every trade-off explicit, including when a company bet and your own opportunity compete for the same team.
- Finger on the pulse. You take time to understand the current and evolving needs of all stakeholders, taking in signals and constantly prioritising to keep the impact high and the work meaningful.
- Own the outcome. Define and track the KPIs that matter, such as [partner onboarding time, booking conversion, on-time pickups, complaint rate] , and change course when the numbers say so.
- Bring the team along. You sit at the centre of everyone who shapes the product, from engineering, design and data to operations, commercial and our partners. You shape the strategy with them and rally everyone around a shared goal.
We work in person from our Amsterdam office because we value the energy of high-bandwidth collaboration. With colleagues in Córdoba and Bangkok, you’ll also work with stakeholders across time zones and cultures.
Who Thrives Here
You are a great fit if you:
- Own outcomes, not output. You measure success by the metrics that move, not by tickets closed. If something you shipped doesn’t work, you’re the first to say so.
- Move fast, with context. You make pragmatic trade-offs and ship, without writing a 20-page PRD where a sketch and a conversation will do. Speed is never an excuse for blind spots: you see how a change ripples through other domains (travellers, partners, drivers, operations and margin) and make sure it lands safely there before it goes live.
- Think in systems. You see how a change affects the whole marketplace: travellers, partners, drivers, operations and margin.
- Start before you’re asked. You see a problem and you’re already digging in: you pull the data, call the partner, sketch a solution. No one has to put things on your plate. You find the next thing that matters yourself.
- Work in the open. You share what you’re doing and learning, bring others into opportunities early and share the credit. You explain problems, solutions and priorities clearly, and you change your mind when the evidence says so.
- Know what creates value. You understand what really moves our business, and that’s what you build. Not the loudest request, but what matters most.
This role probably isn’t for you if you:
- Prefer to receive requirements rather than find the problem. Here the PM owns the “why” and the “what”, and is accountable for the result.
- Aren’t curious about AI in your work. We’re building an AI-first culture and use AI daily for research, analysis, specs and delivery.
- Wait for permission. Making decisions on your own is the baseline here, not a bonus.
- Are looking for a remote job or are not willing to come to the office at least 3 times a week.
What We Offer
- A salary of €4.000 - €6.500 gross per month, with flexibility to work 32–40 hours a week.
- Multinational and casual work environment where you work with driven peers in an innovative and dynamic environment.
- Real ownership and autonomy, not the corporate-buzzword version.
- Direct impact in a growing scale-up (you won’t be one of 40 PMs).
- €50 monthly well-being budget via Epassi, a cycle scheme and standard Dutch benefits.
- Join our weekly bootcamp session on Tuesday.
- Daily warm lunches in our buzzing Amsterdam office.
- High-quality equipment and access to industry-leading tools.
- Quarterly Transferz events, Friday drinks, and our annual Summer & Christmas party to bond with the entire team.
Requirements
What You’ll Bring
- 2+ years as a Product Manager in tech, with concrete examples of your impact.
- Experience with B2B, platform or marketplace products , preferably including external integrations or APIs.
- Data-driven to the core: you pick the right metrics and find the data yourself, whether it’s in Databricks, DataDog, our internal APIs or a spreadsheet. You turn it into something you can make decisions with and you know when it’s faster to pull in an expert.
- Technical knowledge: you can talk with engineers about APIs, data models and trade-offs.
- AI fluency: A practical attitude toward using AI to make yourself and your team more productive. Hands on experience with AI building tools like Claude Code, Lovable.
- Fluent English and current residence in the Netherlands with a valid work permit.
