Job description:

Experience required: 6-8 years

What you will do

- Read the functional requirements, Figma designs and business rules, and write test scenarios and test cases for each screen, API and data flow, including positive, negative, boundary and empty-data cases.

- Test the UI: layout and behaviour against Figma, filters and cascading dropdowns, grids (sort, search, pagination, column configuration), charts, drawers, comments, exports and the chatbot flow, across supported browsers and screen sizes.

- Test the APIs: request and response payloads, status codes, validation and error handling, authentication tokens, pagination and filter parameters, and response times, using Postman or Swagger.

- Test the database: write SQL to verify that what the UI and API show matches the stored data, check calculations (KPIs, scores, percentages), data loads, snapshots and audit fields, and confirm no data is silently dropped or duplicated.

- Trace one business flow end to end: data in the database → API response → what the user sees → what is exported.

- Run SIT cycles per module, log defects with clear reproduction steps and evidence, retest fixes, and run regression before UAT.

- Support UAT: prepare test data and scripts for business users, triage their findings and separate defects from change requests.

- Maintain the requirement-to-test-case traceability matrix and share daily test status, defect counts and risks with the delivery lead.

Must-have skills

- 3+ years of functional testing of web applications covering UI, API and database layers in the same project.

- Strong test design: deriving scenarios from requirements and designs, writing clear test cases, prioritising by risk.

- API testing with Postman (collections, environments, basic scripting) or Swagger/OpenAPI; understanding of REST, JSON, HTTP status codes and token-based authentication

- (SSO/OAuth).

- SQL for test validation: joins, aggregations, filtering and comparisons against UI values, on PostgreSQL or a similar relational database, using a client such as DBeaver or pgAdmin.

- Defect management and test management in Jira (and Xray/Zephyr or an Excel-based test repository).

- Browser developer tools for inspecting network calls, console errors and element states.

- Clear written English for test cases, defect reports and status updates.

Good to have

- Experience with data-heavy or analytics applications: dashboards, KPIs, charts, exception or forecast reporting.

- Verifying Excel exports (structure, totals, filters applied) and chart values against source data.

- Testing chatbots or guided question flows.

- Exposure to AWS-hosted applications (reading CloudWatch logs, understanding environments).

- Basic automation awareness (Selenium, Playwright or Cypress; Postman/Newman) to flag candidates for later automation.

- Pharma, supply chain or S&OP domain knowledge.

- Familiarity with SSO/PingID or Entra ID login flows.

Tools you will use

- Jira, Postman, Swagger UI, DBeaver/pgAdmin (PostgreSQL), Chrome DevTools, Excel, Figma (view),
