Working closely with the Head of IT Service Delivery and wider IT & Digital team, you will play an important role in ensuring our systems, processes and services operate efficiently, helping us deliver effective support to colleagues across the organisation.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills who enjoys working in a busy environment and wants to contribute to the work of a national charity.
Key Duties
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the IT & Digital team, including diary management, meeting coordination and document preparation.
- Raise purchase orders, process invoices and liaise with suppliers to resolve financial and payment queries.
- Maintain accurate records of IT purchases, contracts, software licences, renewals and supplier information.
- Support the management of IT equipment, including laptops and mobile phones, ensuring asset records and inventories are kept up to date.
- Assist with administrative processes relating to new starters, leavers, equipment requests and service changes.
- Prepare and maintain spreadsheets, reports, trackers, meeting notes and other key documentation.
- Support IT projects and service developments through administrative coordination, logistics and asset management.
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and contribute to the efficient running of IT services.
- Provide administrative support for travel, accommodation and vehicle bookings when required.
About You
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, adaptable and confident managing a variety of administrative tasks while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
You will have:
- Previous administrative or business support experience, or an A-Level qualification (or equivalent).
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to work with colleagues and external suppliers.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records while working at pace.
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying improvements.
- A professional, patient and customer-focused approach to supporting others.
- The flexibility and resilience to adapt to changing priorities in a busy working environment.
Previous experience working within an IT, digital or service delivery environment, or a qualification in Business Administration, would be advantageous but is not essential.
Most importantly, you will share Waythrough's values of Kindness, Courage and Respect and be committed to supporting the delivery of high-quality services that make a positive difference.
