Senior IT Operations Engineer

Your primary goal will be to maintain a high-availability, secure operational environment, enforce technical security controls, and execute audit remediation roadmap items. The position is based in Bratislava with a flexible hybrid working framework.Core skills you’ll bringExperience: Minimum of 5 years in IT Operations or Infrastructure Engineering.Core Systems: Advanced proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Azure.Identity & Hardening: Hands-on experience with Patch Management, Vulnerability Management, Microsoft Entra ID, MFA, and Intune.Networking & ITSM: Solid background in network infrastructure, security principles, and ITSM processes (Incident and Change Management).Engineering Mindset: Ability to independently design, architect, and deploy technical solutions.Nice to Have: Hands-on experience with Tenable Nessus, Azure Arc, or FortiSIEM.Scripting & Linux: Familiarity with Linux, PowerShell scripting, and operational automation.Compliance & Domain: Experience in banking or strictly regulated environments; familiarity with DORA framework and security standards is a strong plus.Languages: Slovak language for daily communication, technical English for documentation.The impact you'll createInfrastructure Management: Manage, scale, and modernize server, network, and cloud environments.Vulnerability Operations: Implement and automate Patch & Vulnerability Management workflows (identifying, assessing, and patching system flaws).Cloud & Identity Operations: Configure and maintain Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Active Directory, and Intune.Security & Monitoring: Enforce security controls (MFA, Conditional Access, endpoint security) and provide infrastructure-level support for SOC security tooling (SIEM, EDR).Asset Lifecycle: Maintain IT asset management, lifecycle hygiene, and precise technical documentation.Continuous Improvement: Execute infrastructure changes, streamline ITSM workflows, and automate operational tasks to maximize stability.Audit & Remediation: Implement technical remediation measures resulting from IT audits in close alignment with the IT Security team. What supports your journeyPleasant working environment and stable background in one of the largest software development companies in the worldFlexible hybrid setup with 3 days onsite and the rest from home, giving you a great balance of direct team collaboration and flexibility.Space to work independently and creatively with the possibility to implement your own ideas and opportunities to learn new things and approachesYou have the opportunity to influence your direction in the companyHigh quality hardware and software, access to the latest technologies and specific projectsOpportunities to improve your language skills, we are a major global playerAt Avenga, you'll get quality support in your development thanks to a wide range of internal and external training courses, so you can push the boundaries of your competencesThe basic salary component from 2500 EUR gross per month - the exact amount of the salary depends on the actual knowledge and experience, qualifications and expertise of the candidateWe offer you benefits such as language courses, MultiSport card, sick days, meal allowance, lots of company events, offices in Bratislava Nivy with quality amenities for lovers of sport, food and coffee, hybrid remote work after mutual agreement, and morePeople are at the core of Avenga.
