About this role

Job Requirements

At Siemens Healthineers, we pioneer breakthroughs in healthcare. For everyone. Everywhere. Sustainably. We are looking for a Finance Data Scientist to join our Magnetic Resonance business and help us turn complex financial and operational data into insight that makes a real difference. This is an opportunity to combine finance, data science, analytics and business strategy, working with colleagues across Finance, operations and the wider business to enable smarter decisions and sustainable performance.

About the role

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of finance, technology and data.

You will be part of a diverse, commercially focused and data-driven team, helping improve financial planning, forecasting and performance analysis. Your work will provide greater transparency around business performance and help senior stakeholders make well-informed strategic decisions.

What makes this opportunity different is its breadth. You'll be able to combine financial understanding with data science, analytics, automation and AI, using technology to solve real business problems rather than working with data in isolation.

Whether you are developing analytical models, simplifying a finance process or translating complex data into a clear business recommendation, you will have the opportunity to see how your work contributes to growth, profitability and better decision-making.

What you'll be doing

- Lead initiatives to simplify, standardise, automate and digitalise finance processes, reducing manual work and improving productivity and data quality.
- Develop practical digital solutions using Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Copilot agents, workflow automation and other approved technologies.
- Design and develop management information, dashboards and KPI reporting for Finance and operational stakeholders.
- Build and maintain statistical and machine learning models, bringing together information from different systems to uncover actionable insights.
- Develop data products and support greater adoption of self-service analytics across the organisation.
- Translate Finance and business requirements into effective analytical and digital solutions.
- Support the development and monitoring of manufacturing and financial performance indicators and provide analytical support for business improvement initiatives.
- Help strengthen data quality, security and accessibility while ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable and appropriately governed.
- Establish effective support and maintenance approaches so the tools you create deliver sustainable, long-term value.
- Act as a Finance subject-matter expert, applying sound judgement when validating outputs from models, dashboards and AI tools before they are used to inform business decisions.

Work Experience

You'll be someone who is curious about both how the business performs and how technology can help it perform better.

We're looking for a combination of the following:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to understand business or financial performance.
- The ability to interpret financial performance, challenge assumptions and clearly explain the drivers behind variances to Finance and non-Finance colleagues.
- Experience analysing and improving business processes and leading or contributing to digital transformation projects.
- Strong project management, documentation and process-management skills.
- Confidence communicating and collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot or AI-enabled automation.
- Experience with SAP or another major ERP platform. Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, including FI/CO, product costing or material ledger, would be advantageous.
- Knowledge or experience of SQL, Python, Snowflake, data modelling or data engineering concepts.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate, Power Apps or Power Query.
- Experience using Power BI and data visualisation to make complex information accessible and meaningful.

Just as importantly, you'll bring a collaborative, solution-focused mindset. You'll be comfortable connecting Finance, IT and business teams, combining accounting rigour with analytical curiosity and looking for practical opportunities to make processes and decisions better.

You don't need to see yourself as an expert in every technology listed above. If you can bring strong foundations, curiosity and the motivation to learn, we'd be interested in hearing what you could bring to the role.

Benefits

- Competitive base salary
- 26 days annual leave with the option to buy up to 10 and sell up to 5
- Up to 10% matched pension contributions
- BUPA Private Medical
- Bonus & Share Save Scheme
- Free to use on-site gym
- 2 paid volunteering days a year

Beyond the benefits package, this role offers the opportunity to work across Finance, data and technology, engage with stakeholders across the business and use advanced analytics, automation and AI to influence meaningful commercial and operational decisions.
