About this role

Location: Charleston, SC (remote will be considered)
Position: Electronics Technician Maintenance II
Travel: Up to 90% (CONUS and OCONUS)

Overview

ITC Defense is seeking an Electronics Technician Maintenance II (ETM II) to support the Child and Youth Program (CYP) Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) and Life Cycle Support Contract. The CCTV and access control systems on this program help keep children, families, and staff safe at CYP facilities around the world, and our technicians keep those systems running.

As an ETM II, you’ll do hands-on installation, repair, maintenance, checkout, and troubleshooting of CCTV and access control systems at CYP facilities worldwide. You’ll handle preventive and corrective maintenance, resolve service tickets, and give on-site technical help to facility staff, keeping every site operational, compliant, and reliable under the contract’s Performance Work Statement (PWS).

This is a field-focused role with frequent travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations. It’s a good fit for a technician who likes variety, works well independently at remote sites, and takes pride in leaving each system better than they found it.

Responsibilities

Installation, Maintenance & Troubleshooting

- Install, repair, check out, and maintain CCTV system components, including cameras, servers, workstations, wiring, conduit, and associated hardware.
- Troubleshoot at the lowest feasible system assembly level to isolate faults. Coordinate with vendors on warranty repairs, or with the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) when replacements are required.
- Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) visits in accordance with the CYP CCTV Life Cycle Sustainment SOP, including checks of recording availability, camera status, UPS indicators, and server health.
- Provide on-site technical assistance as needed, including urgent response for emergency maintenance within contract timelines (four-hour contact window; deployment within three business days for CONUS sites).

Documentation & Reporting

- Document all maintenance activities in the Web Based Management System (WBMMS) within required timelines, including ticket updates, findings, corrective actions, and communication logs.
- Keep accurate service logs at each site, including activity summaries, dates, ticket references, and site verification of completed work.
- Support updates to inventory, spares usage, and warranty information in accordance with Government Furnished Property (GFP)/CAP and warranty tracking requirements.

Customer Support & Site Coordination

- Support site personnel by resolving operator errors, system configuration questions, and functionality concerns, and complete site-level user training during PM visits.
- Coordinate site access, scheduling, documentation, and closeout activities, following government procedures for physical access, CAC requirements, and reporting.
- Help verify system health during periodic COR-directed telephone follow-ups, including reviews of equipment condition and answers to user questions.
- Represent ITC Defense professionally with site staff, government personnel, and team members at every location.
- Travel up to 90% (CONUS and OCONUS) as required by preventive maintenance schedules, corrective actions, and technical support needs.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED.

– Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or
– Four-year electronics apprentice program.
- Four (4) years of practical experience, including electronics repair, maintenance, and checkout.
- At least one (1) year of practical experience in electronics installation. Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
- The contract labor category requires Genetec Security Center 5.x Omnicast technical certification, or the ability to obtain it. Certification before hire is preferred, but ITC Defense will provide certification training to otherwise qualified candidates.
- Must meet NIWC Atlantic access, security, and mandatory training requirements before performance, including CAC eligibility, cybersecurity training, OPSEC, and CUI handling.
- Must be able and willing to travel up to 90%, including to OCONUS locations, and to hold or obtain a valid U.S. passport.
