Responsibilities for Response Security Guard

- Monitor the premises and security systems, where applicable, to identify suspicious activity or potential security concerns.

- Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents, emergencies, or potential security threats.

- Document all observations, security incidents, and unusual activities by preparing accurate and detailed written reports.

- Conduct regular foot patrols to maintain a safe and secure environment.

- Monitor access to designated areas and verify visitor identification when required.

- Maintain strong observation skills and attention to detail to identify potential safety hazards, security risks, or unusual occurrences.

- Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, clients, management, and emergency services when necessary.

- Follow established security procedures and cooperate with law enforcement in serious incidents or emergencies.

- Maintain a visible, professional security presence throughout the shift.

Qualifications for Response Security Guard

- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

- Must hold or eligible to obtain a valid Nova Scotia Security Guard Licence.

- Valid First Aid & CPR certification (required).

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly report writing.

- Excellent observation skills, attention to detail, and ability to remain focused.

- Comfortable using technology and security-related equipment.

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.

- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

- Reliable, professional, punctual, and able to work independently.

- Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
