Baptist Health is looking to add a Medical Assistant to our Baptist Pulmonary Specialists office in Fernandina Beach, Florida.
This opening is a full-time opportunity working Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.
The experienced candidate will perform back office Medical Assistant duties, such as rooming patients, performing blood draws and assisting one provider. Pulmonary experience preferred.
As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for:
- Provides nursing assistance to physicians
- Obtains vital signs
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
- Telephone triage
- Updating, recording, and filing medical information and forms
- Maintains medical documentation
- Answering phones and scheduling appointments
- Incoming faxes orders, medication refill, inquiry/request
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years Patient Care Experience
- Experience in Physician's office
Education & Credential Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- Associate's Degree Preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
